Under 17 World Cup in Goa: Football's coming home

The under-17 football World Cup kicked off on 6th October, with matches in Fatorda stadium, Goa featuring teams like Brazil, Germany and the surprise of the tournament- Iran.
With our faces painted to support both teams, the little chap and I braved the sun, listened to the inevitable chants of "Come on Tendulkar!" and ate outrageously expensive popcorn while I tried to identify future Baggios and Cannavaros.
The stadium was kid-friendly, with easy access to bathrooms, a mascot that waved and shook hands through the barricades and security staff that was very concerned during a popcorn-related incident. The evening revolved a lot more around popcorn than I had expected.
